The National Labor Observatory (NLO) released a detailed report on Saudi private sector labor market figures for December (2023), reviewing the total number of male and female employees—both citizens and residents—as well as the net growth in jobs for citizens during the same period and the number of new entrants to the private sector.

The report showed an increase in the total number of private-sector employees, reaching approximately (10,975,830) thousand workers in December, indicating the continued appeal of employment in the private sector.

According to the report, the total working citizens in the private sector in December was (2,316,647) Saudi citizens, while the total number of foreign residents working in the private sector was (8,659,183).

The report highlights that (44,769) thousand citizens joined the private sector for the first time.
