The Future of Real Estate Forum and the Union Real Estate Association are preparing to launch the “Professional Volunteering” initiative, in a strategic partnership with the National Center for Nonprofit Sector Development and the Third Sector Agency for Community Participation at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, amid the participation of a number of officials, economists, real estate and related parties.
Promoting the principles of volunteerism
This initiative comes within the keenness of both parties to partner with organizations that have extensive experience in the volunteering sector, and to promote the principles of non-profit volunteer work that contributes effectively to social and economic development. The initiative also aims to enable partners, non-profit entities and leading personalities in the community to present their expertise and volunteer experiences to youth and relevant authorities,
Abdullah Al-Harbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Union Real Estate Association, said:” This voluntary initiative aims to transfer the experiences and expertise enjoyed by an elite group of Their Highnesses princes, Their Excellencies ministers, as well as economic experts, leaders of real estate and other sectors, as well as the expertise of prominent voluntary entities, to transfer them to beneficiaries, especially young people, in order to refine their experiences and expertise.”

He stressed that this volunteering initiative will work to develop the capabilities and talents of young people and improve their experiences in various fields, economically, socially and in other areas of the business sector such as real estate and others, adding that the ”Professional Volunteering“ initiative falls within the framework of non-profit voluntary work and will work to maximize the use of the wide experience of the National Transformation Program initiatives to develop the non-profit sector, especially the ”Volunteer with Your Experience" initiative. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Union Real Estate Association, the Non-Profit Sector Center and the Third Sector Agency for Community Participation at the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing through their launch of several initiatives to empower and develop the sector, as well as their support for the launch of the "Professional Volunteering" initiative, where these efforts produced a qualitative and strategic partnership, noting that this initiative comes to enhance the concept of non-profit voluntary work, as it works to raise the capabilities and efficiency of voluntary personalities. He emphasized that the Center works within the framework of non-profit voluntary work.
He stressed that the Center works in coordination with its various partners from the relevant authorities and non-profit organizations to promote work in the non-profit voluntary sector and spread awareness among the community about the goals and mission of this sector." Noting that this initiative comes to enhance the concept of non-profit voluntary work and raise the capacities and competencies of volunteer personalities.
The non-profit sector in the Kingdom is in line with Vision 2030 , which aims to increase the sector's contribution to GDP to 5% and raise the number of volunteers to about one million by 2030, and this sector contributes significantly to the development of several areas that serve society and establish a culture of social responsibility to achieve sustainable development, as well as the continuous support of the Saudi government for this sector, which enhances the humanitarian work of individuals, as well as the concerted and cooperative efforts of government and non-governmental agencies to support the voluntary, non-profit sector. Non-profit voluntary work sector works in coordination with its various partners, related and non-profit organizations, to promote the work in the non-profit sector.
