Ministry of Justice: Value of real estate transactions over 10 months reaches 317.8 billion riyals

A report issued by the Ministry of Justice stated that the value of real estate transactions completed from the beginning of 1436 AH until the end of Shawwal reached 317.8 billion riyals, a decrease of 17% compared to the same period last year.

The report can be summarized as follows:

1- The value of residential transactions in the first 10 months of 1436 AH reached approximately 211.8 billion riyals, a decrease of 17% compared to the same period of the previous year.

2- The value of commercial transactions reached approximately 106.1 billion riyals in the first 10 months of 1436 AH, recording a 17.1% decrease compared to the same period last year.

Shawwal Index

1- The value of real estate transactions during the month of Shawwal was 16.6 billion riyals, a decrease of 28% compared to the same month of the previous year, when it stood at 22.9 billion riyals.

2- Residential transactions were valued at 11.5 billion riyals, a decrease of 30% compared to the same month last year.

3- Commercial transactions were valued at 5.1 billion riyals, a decrease of 22% compared to last year.

Transaction Types

1- Real estate transactions involving land parcels totaled 15 billion riyals, accounting for approximately 90% of the total value.

2- Apartment transactions were valued at 638 million riyals.

Most Active Cities

1- The most active city was Riyadh, with transactions valued at 3.02 billion riyals, a decrease of 17% compared to the same month last year.

2- It was followed by Jeddah with approximately 2.63 billion riyals, an increase of 12.1% compared to the same month last year.

3- Regarding commercial transactions, Riyadh was the most active city, with the value of transactions during the month of Shawwal reaching 1.87 billion riyals, a decrease of 25% compared to the same month last year.
