Approved by the Riyadh Region Infrastructure Projects Center has adopted regulations for oversight, compliance, and licensing of infrastructure projects in the region to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.

The CEO of the Riyadh Region Infrastructure Projects Center, Engineer Fahd bin Sulaiman Al-Badah, emphasized that this step is part of the Center’s efforts to carry out its mission aimed at enhancing compliance and ensuring the application of best practices in all infrastructure projects in the Riyadh region; thereby contributing to the adoption of best oversight practices and the achievement of sustainable development in the region.

Al-Badah explained that the regulations include a set of standards for governing oversight and licensing activities and incorporate rigorous methods to ensure enhanced environmental compliance, safety requirements, improvement of the urban landscape, and licensing requirements for infrastructure projects in Riyadh.

He emphasized that these measures are intended to achieve the Center’s objectives in accordance with the regulatory arrangements issued by the Cabinet’s decision establishing the Center, and mark the beginning of its journey to develop and modernize oversight and compliance methods in the infrastructure sector; in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to increase transparency by raising the quality of projects implemented in the Riyadh region to the highest standards of reliability and safety.

The CEO of the Riyadh Region Infrastructure Projects Center also expressed his hope for cooperation among all partners working in the infrastructure sector; by adhering to the regulations, standards, requirements, and specific procedures issued by the Center, emphasizing that these regulations will contribute to achieving the goals of a modern and sustainable infrastructure.

It is worth noting that the Center has prepared training programs and workshops for service providers, their contractors, and all relevant parties to ensure continuity of work and enhance efficiency in all infrastructure projects in the Riyadh region.
