Public Authority for Real Estate: 20 days to register properties in 56 neighborhoods in 3 cities

The General Authority for Real Estate has invited property owners in 56 neighborhoods in the cities of Riyadh, Dammam and Medina to register their properties in the real estate registry, before the end of the registration period in these neighborhoods, which ends on Thursday 18 Ramadan 1445 AH, corresponding to March 28, 2024 AD.

First property registration is free

The Authority confirmed that the first registration of properties in these neighborhoods is free of charge and is done through the electronic real estate registry platform, where owners of residential, commercial and other properties in the neighborhoods must submit the first in-kind registration application, along with the documents proving the property (an electronic deed issued by the Ministry of Justice, complete with data that meets the conditions of ownership, a valid ID, and an agency in case the applicant is an agent for the owner).

The Authority confirmed that the first registration of properties in these neighborhoods is free of charge.

54 neighborhoods in Riyadh

The neighborhoods are considered within the scope of the third phase of the real estate registry, which includes more than 450 thousand real estate pieces in (54) neighborhoods in the city of Riyadh, namely: King Salman, Al-Basateen, Al-Tadamon, Al-Zahir, Al-Resala, Al-Raya, Al-Ala, Al-Mashreq, Al-Khair, Al-Arid, Al-Narjis, Al-Qayrawan, Al-Yasmin, Al-Malqa, Al-Sahafah, Al-Nada, Al-Rabia, Al-Aqiq, Hattin, Al-Nakheel, Al-Muhammadiyah, King Fahd, Al-Worud, Al-Rahmaniyah, Al-Raid, King Saud University, Al-Marsalat, Al-Mughrzat, Al-Nazha, King Abdullah, Al-Rawdah Jerusalem, Al Quds, Al Hamra, Al Shuhada, Cordoba, Imam Mohammed bin Saud University, Andalusia, King Faisal, Granada, Al Nahda, Al Khaleej, Seville, Yarmouk, Al Munsiyah, Al Maizilah, Qadisiyah, Laban, Al Araija Middle, Al Araija West, Dhahra Al Badiyah, Al Zahra, Al Suwaidi West, Al Awali, Al Hazm, as well as the Shula neighborhood in Dammam City and Al Aqeel neighborhood in Madinah.

The Authority explained that the expiration of the registration period in these neighborhoods results in the inability of property owners to conduct real estate transactions such as selling and investing in their properties in the same neighborhood if they are not registered, and their disposal is considered suspended until registration, which will result in financial penalties - to be registered - determined by a special committee to consider them according to the reason for the delay in registering on time as stated in the real estate registration system.

The Authority indicated that the expiration of the registration period in these neighborhoods results in the inability of property owners to conduct real estate transactions such as selling and investing in their properties in the same neighborhood if they are not registered, and their disposal is suspended until registration. <The Authority pointed out that <a href="https://rer.The Real Estate Registry (RER) has made it possible to register real estate through the electronic platform, or through the service centers for real estate registry beneficiaries in the Royal Mall in Riyadh, the Business Gate in Dammam, and the branch of the Customer Service Center of the Municipality of Madinah in Alia Mall, all working days from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and any inquiries about the registry can be answered by calling the unified number 199002, which has been designated to answer any inquiries or follow-up requests.

The Authority indicated that the company Real Estate Registry (RER) is available for the registration of properties through the electronic platform.
