King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) announced the start of construction and development work on the largest residential camp for workers employed in the industrial city. The camp, designed specifically for workers, will be built on an area of 104,000 square meters and will accommodate more than 4,000 workers who will be involved in implementing various development projects in King Abdullah Economic City.
Namarq Arabia Services Limited is one of the most successful national companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia specializing in the design, construction, and operation of worker camps and hotels in accordance with international standards and criteria, in addition to providing specialized labor. The King Abdullah Economic City project will be implemented in two phases with a total investment of 150 million Saudi riyals, and the first phase of the project is expected to be completed in 2016.
For his part, Fahad Al-Rashid, CEO and Managing Director of the King Abdullah Economic City Group, said: “The new workers” camp project is a continuation of the successful housing developments in King Abdullah Economic City, aimed at promoting social and economic development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.“

King Abdullah Economic City is being built on an area of 181 million square meters and is being developed into a fully integrated city.
This massive project consists of: coastal communities offering housing solutions for all segments of society, King Abdullah Port, which is being developed to become one of the ten largest ports in the world; the Al-Haramain Railway District; and the Industrial Valley, which spans an area of 55 million square meters. Various national and international companies are carrying out this project.
