Model contracts are one of the most important tools for regulating the construction sector by governing the contractual relationship between parties in small and medium-sized projects and safeguarding the rights of contractors and owners. These contracts help enhance the impact of preventive justice, reduce project failures resulting from contractual disputes, alleviate the burden on the judiciary, minimize conflicts, facilitate the contracting and payment process, and ensure business operations in accordance with global best practices through a fully electronic system.
One of the most important advantages of model contracts is that they become an enforceable instrument as soon as both parties accept the contract, giving it legal standing before enforcement courts, This reduces the effort involved in having the case reviewed by the competent courts within the Ministry of Justice, and enforcement is carried out by the Enforcement Court within the Ministry of Justice.

It should be noted that all these model contracts are available electronically to all contractors registered with the Authority, as well as project owners and individuals, who can begin drafting a contract on the Muqawil platform www.muqawil.org, where the project owner’s civil registration number is entered and their identity is verified through the National Access Service to ensure the parties’ eligibility and the validity of their legal representation.
