The Jazan Region Municipality represented by the Abu Arish Municipality, carried out 94 construction inspection tours last February within the residential neighborhoods of the province and its affiliated villages, to identify construction violations and ensure compliance with municipal regulations, as part of its efforts to monitor buildings and facilities, reduce construction violations, and improve the quality of projects.
The mayor of Abu Arish Governorate Engineer Ahmed bin Abdullah Hakami, that the field inspection teams issued 32 construction violations related to construction work during their rounds, noting that the number of approved building permit applications reached 61, while the number of occupancy certificates reached 18.
He noted that inspection tours are part of the municipality’s efforts to maintain the general appearance of the city and eliminate any violations by regulating and monitoring the execution of construction work on buildings, ensuring compliance with permits issued by the municipality, adherence to all building specifications, reducing violations of all kinds, and preserving the urban environment.
