The General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage announced a public tender for the construction of the Al-Ahsa Regional Museum. The Authority invited companies and institutions interested in obtaining the tender documents to visit the Procurement and Contracts Department at the Authority’s headquarters in Riyadh in the «Diplomatic Quarter,» or to visit the electronic Procurement and Contracts Portal at «pcp.scta.gov.sa,» noting that the deadline for submitting bids is Tuesday, 7/1/1437 AH.
Waleed bin Abdullah Al-Hussein, Director of the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage in Al-Ahsa, explained that minor adjustments have been made to the visiting hours for historical sites in Al-Ahsa. Al-Hussein stated that Ibrahim Palace, the Amiriya School, the House of Al-Mala «House of the Allegiance,» the Jowatha Mosque, and the historic Al-Aqeer Port are open to visitors from Sunday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., while the Al-Ahsa Museum is open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. On Fridays, the historic sites in Al-Ahsa are open to visitors from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., except for the Jawatha Mosque and the historic port of Al-Aqeer, which are open from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
