Real estate experts predict growth in the construction sector in Saudi Arabia, which has maintained its growth momentum despite heavy pressures resulting from falling crude oil prices. The sector is expected to grow by 7.8 percent between 2015 and 2019 , driven by mega-projects in the two holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, according to recent reports and studies.

According to a study conducted by Albin Capital Financial Advisory Services ,The Saudi government’s efforts to promote religious tourism and the remarkable growth in the hospitality and retail sectors will in turn lead to further construction activity in the near future. Especially since the study indicates that infrastructure projects implemented to date and through 2019, at a cost of $180 billion, will be the primary driver of construction activity. This is in addition to the housing needs of 70% Saudis, which requires the construction of 200,000 homes annually through 2019.
