Housing Minister Majid Abdullah Al-Hogail announced the granting of his advisor, Dr. Ali bin Sulaiman bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, broad powers, most notably approving appointments and transfers, imposing disciplinary sanctions on employees at the 14th rank and below and their equivalents, approving the granting of leave and deducting days of absence, and approving performance evaluations, as well as disbursing allowances, bonuses, entitlements, and compensation due in accordance with regulations and instructions for employees in Grade 14 and below and their equivalents, assignments within and outside the Kingdom for various ranks and categories for a maximum period of two months per fiscal year following financial authorization, and the assignment of overtime work following financial authorization, direct procurement of office supplies, furniture, and machinery in accordance with the Government Tendering and Procurement Regulations, Approving an increase or decrease in the contractor’s obligations or making any amendment or change to the contracted work within the limits permitted by the regulations; and approval of signature forms for employees authorized to make withdrawals and open accounts with the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority and local banks as required by the instructions, and deciding on the lease of the premises. It should be noted that Dr. Al-Attiyah is one of the nation’s leading professionals, possessing extensive experience, gained through his work in various governmental and nongovernmental entities, most notably his tenure as Director of Financial and Administrative Affairs at the Ministry of Higher Education, where he was entrusted with several tasks that he carried out to the highest standards.
