His Excellency the Minister of Municipal, Rural, and Housing Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the “Sakan” Community-Based Developmental Housing Foundation, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, today launched the “Joud Al-Iskan” platform, which aims to improve the services provided by “Sakan” to beneficiaries, facilitate community contributions to the housing sector, and deliver support to those eligible.
His Excellency emphasized that the mobile app for the “Jood Al-Iskan” platform is part of efforts to enable the most needy families to own homes and to facilitate housing contributions and philanthropy. This is part of a series of initiatives in the housing sector aimed at improving the quality of services provided to beneficiaries, and to promote digital transformation in the sector by leveraging the best technologies and modern systems, thereby supporting the goal of the Housing Program—one of the Vision programs—to achieve a 70% homeownership rate by 2030.
For his part, Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Kuraidis, Secretary-General of the Community Development Housing Foundation “Sakan,” explained that the Jood Al-Iskan platform aims to provide a unique digital philanthropic experience as the Kingdom’s first crowdfunding platform, ensuring speed, security, accuracy, and transparency for donors, noting that the app offers a range of products that meet the needs of contributors and donors.
He noted that since its launch, “Jood Al-Iskan” has helped provide housing for more than 22,000 families, with a total of over 137,000 beneficiaries of all the services offered by the platform, through community contributions made by 6 million donors and 350 partner organizations across all regions of the Kingdom.
Through its app, the Jood Al-Iskan platform aims to facilitate housing contributions from individuals and donors, as the app represents a qualitative leap in improving the quality and ease of community contributions, thereby providing housing for the most needy families who benefit from the platform.
How can you benefit from the Jood Al-Iskan platform?
The Jood Al-Iskan platform is one of the initiatives of the Community-Based Developmental Housing Foundation “Sakan,” which seeks to secure adequate housing for the most needy families, through a reliable and transparent platform that ensures housing support reaches families benefiting from the developmental housing sector.
The Jood platform helps provide suitable housing for the most needy families in the community according to specific regulations and criteria that ensure assistance reaches those who are eligible. It operates in partnership with civil society organizations covering all regions of the Kingdom.
Eligibility is verified by cross-referencing databases that provide information on the beneficiary, their social status, and their eligibility for housing support. Partner organizations also conduct on-site social assessments to verify eligibility using an approved social assessment form.
To benefit from the Jood platform, you must be included in the lists of eligible recipients registered on the platform, and you must also be registered with one of the civil society organizations partnering with the platform.
