5 ministries in Jeddah discuss transforming the owners“ association into a federation and transferring its management to Housing”

Yesterday, the Real Estate Committee of the Jeddah Chamber organized a workshop with the participation of the ministries of social affairs, housing, labor, trade and industry to discuss the transformation of the owners' association into a federation and transfer its affiliation from social affairs to housing because it is related to this field in order to serve the citizen, preserve their rights and increase their ownership of housing units, take care of the rights of all parties, whether developers or owners, and promote investment in this sector.

<The workshop proposed the issuance of an organizational regulation and an executive mechanism related to this federation in order to take care of the rights of citizens and preserve housing units for their benefit and transfer the maintenance of common benefits between housing to the private sector. The workshop addressed the frameworks of cooperation and coordination between the Ministries of Housing and Municipal and Rural Affairs to develop the organizational regulation of the federation and the mechanism of off-plan sales and the developer's responsibility after delivery to ensure the property and solve housing issues and adopt vertical expansion instead of horizontal for real estate projects and enact mechanisms and procedures for developers, investors and contractors from private sector representatives to achieve the objectives of the federation. <The workshop was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs for Social Development, Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Sadhan, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Housing, Engineer Muhammad Al-Zamaiya, Director of the Ministry of Labor in Makkah, Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Olyan, Director of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Makkah, Abdullah bin Mushait, Director of the Ministry of Housing in Makkah, Eng.
