The Eastern Province Municipality has launched an initiative entitled “We made it easy for you”, which aims to urge citizens to issue building compliance certificate before the end of the corrective period on August 16, 2024, which will become mandatory in the cities and governorates of the region.

The Municipality explained that the initiative comes in compliance with the initiatives of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, to effectively contribute to the development and humanization of the Kingdom's cities and raise the quality of life in the various neighborhoods in the cities and governorates of the region.

The initiative targets all commercial axes in priority areas, indicating that the initiative started in its first phase by identifying all buildings targeted for the issuance of the certificate, where the property owners were contacted and explained the obligation to issue the certificate and the necessary treatments for the deformities in the property, and set a date to go out to the compliant building and provide immediate service to the beneficiary to issue the certificate of compliance.

The initiative targets all commercial axes in priority areas.

Treatment of (19) elements in the building compliance certificate

The Eastern Municipality stated that the compliance certificate aims to address (19) elements of visual distortion that existing buildings may contain, adding that the initiative, implemented by Abqaiq Municipality, includes the targeted roads, which are King Abdulaziz Road, Caliph Abu Bakr Road, Caliph Omar bin Khattab Street, King Faisal Street, Prince Naif Street, as well as Qatif Street, Jeddah, Taif and Montazah Street.
