The the Communications, Space, and Technology Commission the public to submit their comments on the document “Regulations for the Establishment and Provision of Telecommunications Services in Real Estate,“ which regulates procedures and defines the responsibilities of land and facility developers and telecommunications service providers.
The document aims to provide high-quality telecommunications services in real estate and ensure their continuity, promote competition to provide high levels of performance and choice for users, and establish standards for infrastructure projects to minimize civil works and reduce their environmental impact in accordance with global best practices.
The document includes the requirements that developers must follow to establish and provide telecommunications services in properties under their ownership, as the provisions of this document apply to service providers holding a unified infrastructure license, a license to provide fixed telecommunications services, or a license to provide wholesale services.
The Authority invited all experts and interested parties —including licensed service providers, land and facility developers, and large-scale national projects—to submit their comments no later than September 26, 2024, via the Authority’s regulatory platform.
