7 steps to request additional grace period for disbursement of finance payments

The Real Estate Development Fund has outlined the steps for requesting an extension to disburse financing installments to complete construction phases via the Fund’s website.

According to an infographic published by the Fund on its account on the social media platform “X,” the application for for an extension to disburse financing installments involves the following seven steps:

  1. Go to the website redf.gov.sa
  2. Select “Services”
  3. Make sure your information is up to date by selecting “Update Completion Stages“
  4. Select ”Request an Extension“ then ”Access the Service“
  5. Log in via ”National Access"
  6. Enter the required information and documents and submit your request
  7. You will receive an SMS message with a link to your ticket

Please note that the application period runs from August 4 through November 2, 2024, for beneficiaries of the Land, Loan, and Self-Build program.

In early August, the Real Estate Development Fund launched a new online service that allows beneficiaries of the ”Self-Build” program, and the ”Land and Loan” program—who have exceeded the standard 36-month period and have not completed the construction of their homes—to submit a request for an extension so they can receive their financing installments, This follows a directive issued by His Excellency Majid Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipalities and Housing and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Real Estate Development Fund, to grant an additional grace period of up to 16 months to beneficiaries of the “Self-Build” program, as well as “Land and Loan” beneficiaries who have exceeded the statutory period and have not completed the construction phases of their homes.

The Real Estate Fund clarified today that the online service allows beneficiaries to submit their requests electronically within a maximum period of 90 days starting today, through the deadline extension request service on the Fund’s website at the link (https://portal.redf.gov.sa/service-details/extend-info), adding that the online service is available only to beneficiaries of the Self-Build Program and the Land and Loan Program who have exceeded the statutory 36-month period from the date of signing the financing contract and have not completed the construction phases.
