The Community Development Housing Foundation «Sakan,» continued its development efforts in the Najran and Al-Ramiyah regions to provide adequate housing for the most needy families, with 138 housing units handed over to beneficiaries today.
The Secretary-General of the «Sakan» Foundation, Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Kuraidis, expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musa’ad, Governor of the Najran Region, for his kindness in handing over the housing units to the most needy families in the region, in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing and Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, and for His Highness’s generous patronage of the “Joud Najran” campaign last Ramadan.
Al-Kuraidis emphasized that these achievements are the result of the support of our wise leadership —may God preserve them—and the result of the efforts, follow-up, and guidance of His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Their Highnesses, Their Excellencies, and the members of the Board of Trustees, as well as the participation and cooperation of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, represented by the Ministry’s Agency for Developmental Housing and Community Participation under the leadership of His Excellency Mr. Talal Al-Khunaini, and in partnership with major donors (individuals and entities), and strategic partners from the government, private, and nonprofit sectors—which has helped motivate all segments of society to give and participate in community initiatives, with a total of 705 housing units delivered to the most needy families in the Najran region.
It is worth noting that the Civil Society Developmental Housing Foundation (Sakan) is a civil society organization whose Board of Trustees is chaired by His Excellency Mr. Majid Al-Hogail, and aims to encourage giving and community participation through innovative initiatives, including Joud Al-Iskan and the Hal Initiative for Housing Innovation. The foundation also works to empower the nonprofit housing sector to provide sustainable solutions for the most needy families.
