The CEO of the General Real Estate Authority, Engineer Abdullah Al-Hammad, and the CEO of the Real Estate Registry Dr. Mohammed Al-Suleiman during the Cityscape Global Exhibition, the Real Estate Developers Portal within the Real Estate Registry platform as a one-stop destination for documenting and issuing certificates for off-plan sales projects. The platform offers a comprehensive process, from registering the off-plan sales permit on the portal to the issuance of the title deed by the Real Estate Registry.
The portal offers a variety of services that meet the needs of real estate developers for off-plan sales projects, ranging from registering the project license and issuing certificates to project beneficiaries, to adding rights and obligations to them and facilitating their transfer between individuals, as well as the complete processing of the project, converting certificates into title deeds issued by the Real Estate Registry, and providing an integrated dashboard that enables real estate developers to manage units effectively and efficiently.
Regulation and Development of the Real Estate Sector
Engineer Al-Hammad emphasized that the launch of the Real Estate Developers Portal is part of the Authority’s efforts to regulate and develop real estate sector and as a continuation of the reforms and legislation that have taken place real estate sector in recent years. The portal will help regulate off-plan sales projects and fully digitize their procedures, as well as incentivizing real estate developers by providing a comprehensive digital platform that guides them through the development process—from registering their permits on the portal through to the completion of construction and the direct issuance of title deeds to beneficiaries from the Real Estate Registry.
A Leap Forward in the Real Estate Sector
For his part, Dr. Al-Suleiman explained that off-plan sales projects represent one of the fundamental pillars of the real estate sector, as the Kingdom is witnessing a qualitative leap in terms of the number and scale of off-plan sales projects, Given this importance, we have worked to develop this portal as part of the Real Estate Registry platform, focusing on services for real estate developers to enable their growth and facilitate their business operations, in addition to improving the experience of beneficiaries of off-plan projects by enhancing reliability and transparency in the real estate development sector and enabling them to trade certificates easily and conveniently, which will boost investment flows into these projects.
He noted that the portal will mark a qualitative leap in the real estate development sector, as it was designed to meet the needs of real estate developers, and following a series of workshops with major real estate development companies to understand the challenges and provide solutions through the portal. He emphasized that the portal offers comprehensive services covering the beneficiary’s entire journey, which concludes with the completion of construction and the issuance of a title deed from the Real Estate Registry.
