His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Emir of the Eastern Province, sponsored the ceremony of handing over housing units to the beneficiaries of the Community Development Housing Foundation “Sakan” and honoring the 12 major donors within its initiative “Joud Al Sharqiya”, in the presence of HE Minister of Municipalities and Housing and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Haqeel.
The ceremony was held at the Emirate Diwan last Thursday.

<His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, said: “Sakan's efforts, represented by its <a href=“https://www.joodeskan.In partnership with its partners (donors, supporters, governmental, private, non-profit and private sectors, and individuals), until the middle of the fourth quarter of 2024, to provide 4294 housing units for the neediest families in the Eastern Province, achieving the positive impact of the sustainability of giving in the Kingdom by strengthening its efforts through the ”Good Housing“ platform; which aims to engage the community (individuals - organizations) to provide a helping hand for housing support through an electronic platform that achieves transparency, accuracy and professionalism in providing support."His Excellency, the Minister of Municipalities and Housing and Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, said His Excellency extended his thanks to His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Emir of the Eastern Province, and His Highness the Deputy Emir, for the support and empowerment that the Foundation received from their highnesses for the "Joud Al Sharqiya” campaign, to achieve the aspirations of the wise leadership.
<For his part, Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Kridis, Secretary General of Sakan, explained that the number of units provided amounted to (4294) housing units for the neediest families in the Eastern Province, an achievement with our donors, supporters and partners of Sakan's initiatives, programs and solutions; including the “Joud Al-Sharqiya” campaign, which is a branch of the ”Joud Areas“ campaign that covered all regions of the Kingdom, to provide innovative and sustainable housing solutions that suit the needs of eligible families; ensuring a quality of life that enhances its positive impact on social development in our dear homeland.
He pointed to building strategic partnerships with all parties involved in social responsibility from government, private, non-profit and donors to achieve a tangible developmental impact that contributes to enhancing social solidarity, and what was achieved in the Eastern Province is one of the milestones of Sakan's journey towards maximizing the developmental impact in all regions of the Kingdom, stressing the commitment to develop initiatives, programs and solutions to be more comprehensive and impactful, reflecting the Foundation's vision to support the neediest groups and achieve sustainable development in the non-profit housing sector.

<His Highness praised the leadership's keenness on housing, improving the quality of life and achieving the state of entitlement to build a society whose members enjoy multiple means of housing ownership.
