“SCAN hosts the eighth meeting of the Nonprofit Roundtable Leaders in the Nonprofit Sector

The meeting reviewed the year's results, made financial commitments, and discussed recommendations and partnerships to enhance the sector's role in Vision 2030

The Community Development Housing Foundation “Sakan,“ hosted the eighth meeting of the Roundtable Leaders in the nonprofit sector today, Sunday, with the participation of Roundtable members. The meeting will review the results and outcomes of the year’s work and discuss the sub-groups“ recommendations for the coming year, and the organizations" financial commitments for the coming year will be approved, in addition to a proposal to admit new members to next year’s roundtable meeting.
The meeting also addressed the challenges facing the sector and reviewed best practices to strengthen integration and partnerships among organizations operating in the sector, exchanging expertise and success stories, and exploring ways to collaborate in achieving the sector’s goals in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which calls for the nonprofit sector to contribute to raising non-oil GDP to 5 %.

The Secretary-General of the "Sakan” Foundation, Abdulaziz Al-Kuraidis, that the event represents a vital forum for strengthening the nonprofit sector’s role in sustainable development and discussing the most pressing issues and challenges facing the sector to identify the best solutions and initiatives that will have a positive impact on society and achieve sustainable development.
Sakan’s hosting of the event reflects its commitment to continuing its work and development to strengthen its developmental role in supporting and empowering the nonprofit housing sector, as well as its partnership with nonprofit organizations and entities.
The “Sakan” Community-Based Developmental Housing Foundation; a nonprofit organization whose Board of Trustees is chaired by His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail. It seeks to stimulate community giving and participation through innovative initiatives, including the “Jood Al-Iskan” , ”Joud Al-Manaat,” and the “Hal Center for Housing Innovation.” Through these initiatives, “Sakan” works to lead and empower the nonprofit housing sector to provide sustainable solutions.
