The Riyadh Region Secretariat continues its efforts to encourage owners of land in the city to obtain a permit for “fencing of vacant land” and to begin fencing their properties. This step is part of the Secretariat’s commitment to improving the urban landscape, reducing the accumulation of waste on vacant land, protecting it from encroachment, and clarifying property boundaries.

The Municipality clarified that landowners can obtain the necessary permits through the e-services platform and review the specific criteria and requirements for fencing land by visiting the Secretariat’s website: https://eservices.alriyadh.gov.sa/SiteKeeping, emphasizing the importance of complying with these instructions to achieve a clean and orderly urban environment.

It should be noted that these efforts are part of the Riyadh Municipality’s strategy, implemented in cooperation with relevant authorities, aimed at improving quality of life, humanizing the city, and promoting compliance with the disposal of construction and demolition waste at designated sites. These initiatives are also part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which seeks to develop cities and achieve their sustainability by improving their infrastructure and ensuring an urban environment suitable for both residents and investors.

The Municipality emphasizes the importance of the role of citizens and property owners in supporting these efforts by ensuring that vacant lots are fenced off and by familiarizing themselves with the applicable regulations and rules, thereby contributing to enhancing the quality of the urban environment within the city of Riyadh and making it a leading model for sustainable urban development.
