Companies participating in the 18th edition of the world’s largest trade show for security, safety, and fire prevention in Dubai have reserved nearly 90% of exhibition space, four months before its opening on January 17, 2016 and lasting three days. More than 1,300 exhibitors from 52 countries are expected to participate in the exhibition, which will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center and will feature new events reflecting the ever-evolving landscape of the regional and international security sector.
Organized by Messe Frankfurt Middle East, the three-day event will feature a number of new highlights, including a section dedicated to home security and smart buildings, in addition to the five other main sections: commercial security, information security, fire and rescue, Safety and Health, National Security, and Law Enforcement. The live smart home demonstration area will be a highlight of the new section, where industry leaders such as ASA Abloy, Honeywell, Dahau, C. B Plus, Wolfgard, and Tecom will showcase their latest technologies in home security, automation, energy management, and multimedia on a 100-square-meter platform.
Commercial security will once again be the largest section, featuring more than 600 exhibitors, including the world’s top ten security solution providers. Returning to the exhibition are China’s Dahua Technology, which specializes in video surveillance, and Sweden’s Axis Communications—both among the world’s top ten companies, each with plans for growth in the Middle East and Africa. Dahua Technology is participating in Intersec 2016 to launch its latest closed-circuit television (CCTV) solutions, which target three sectors: traffic, mobile, and smart buildings. “Xun Shen,” General Manager of Dahau Technology Middle East, explained: “Our traffic solutions include radar devices, speed detection, and red-light detection, while our mobile solutions focus on public transportation, police vehicles, and school buses. We will also demonstrate how our smart building systems can integrate CCTV, access control, video intercoms, and alarm systems into a single platform.
