the Ministry of Commerce reported a 60% increase in the issuance of commercial registrations in 2024 compared to 2023.

The total number of commercial registrations issued reached (521,969), compared to (368,038) issued in 2023, The issued registrations were distributed among institutions (368,038) and companies (153,931).

The commercial registrations covered various economic activities, with the following sectors leading the list: wholesale and retail trade, construction, accommodation and food services, and manufacturing topped the list of activities covered by the issued registrations. The total number of active commercial registrations across all regions of the Kingdom reached 1,606,169 by the end of 2024.
