The General Real Estate Authority (GRA) announced that the deadline for the first in-kind registration of real estate for (4) neighborhoods in Riyadh City and (13) neighborhoods in Diriyah Governorate will expire by the end of Thursday, January 30, 2025.

<The Authority invited owners of properties located within the scope of the following neighborhoods in Riyadh: (Banban neighborhood, Al Manakh neighborhood, Al Faisaliah neighborhood, and Al Mashael neighborhood), and in Diriyah Governorate: (Dhahrat Al Awda West, Dhahrat Al Awda East, Al Asema neighborhood, Al Malqah neighborhood, Al Malqah neighborhood, Qarywa neighborhood, Al Faisaliah neighborhood, Al Sarhia neighborhood, Al Thalima neighborhood, Al Khalidiya neighborhood, Al Shuhada neighborhood, Al Salmaniya neighborhood, Al Malik neighborhood and Al Mughtara neighborhood), to quickly register their properties through rer.sa before the registration period expires to benefit from the real estate transaction execution services and document all changes that occur to the property.

The Authority explained that in-kind registration of real estate allows the issuance of a “real estate number” and a title deed for each real estate unit that is registered. The new title deed includes the exact geographical location of the property, its owner's data, its description, its condition, its rights and obligations, and all real estate transactions that occur on it, to be the basis for documenting ownership and the real estate rights resulting from it, which contributes to the sustainability and enhancement of the growth of the real estate sector and its main components.

The Authority stressed that the registration of real estate through the real estate registration platform, rer.sa, before the registration period expires, to benefit from the services of real estate transactions and document all changes to the property. The Authority emphasized that failure to register properties within the period specified in the announcement decision exposes their owners to the financial penalties stipulated in the Real Estate Registration System, determined by a committee specialized in considering violations, and that requests for real estate registration continue in all declared areas even after the expiration of the registration period specified in the announcement decision.
