Minister of Municipalities and Housing Launches Regulatory Excellence Program for Government Agencies

The program aims to raise the efficiency of inspection and compliance in cooperation with 60 government entities.

His Excellency the Minister of Municipalities and Housing and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Center for Inspection and Control (NCIC), Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Haqeel, today launched the “Regulatory Excellence Program for Government Agencies”, which aims to raise the efficiency of inspection and control work in partnership with government agencies to enhance the level of regulatory performance, during a ceremony held on this occasion, attended by 120 leaders and representatives of 60 government agencies.

The launch ceremony and the accompanying workshop were attended by the Assistant Minister of Municipalities and Housing for Empowerment and Compliance, Board Member, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the National Center for Inspection and Control, Engineer Ali bin Hadi Rajhi, who gave a speech on his aspirations for the program and its impact on empowering government entities.

On the occasion, 120 leaders and representatives of 60 government entities attended the ceremony. <On this occasion, the CEO of the National Center for Inspection and Control, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulmohsen Al-Abdulkareem, said during the launch of the program and the accompanying workshop: “We are pleased to launch the Regulatory Excellence Program, which is in line with our objectives to enhance the efficiency of regulatory work in partnership with government agencies, raise the level of compliance among private sector enterprises, and work with government agencies to develop regulatory plans and procedures that contribute to enhancing the level of compliance and improving the business environment in the Kingdom.”

He added: "The Regulatory Excellence Program is an important part of our efforts to enhance compliance and improve the business environment in the Kingdom. "The Regulatory Excellence Program for Government Agencies is one of the initiatives of the National Center for Inspection and Control aimed at enhancing the quality of regulatory performance and improving inspection and control work in government agencies by identifying strengths and opportunities for improvement and supporting agencies in developing plans aimed at achieving efficiency and sustainability of all inspection and control work and raising the levels of compliance in private sector establishments."

<It is noteworthy that the National Center for Inspection and Control was established by a decision of the Council of Ministers to coordinate the efforts of inspection and control work among government agencies, and to develop plans and programs to develop inspection and control mechanisms and procedures that ensure transparency and integrity in control and inspection work. The center aims to reduce the burden of repeated regulatory visits on private sector establishments, raise compliance rates, contribute to improving the business environment in the Kingdom, and enhance the efficiency of inspection and control work in general.

National Center for Inspection and Control (NCIC) was established by a decision of the Council of Ministers to coordinate the efforts of inspection and control work among government agencies.
