Signed Diriyah company The Diriyah Gate Development Authority has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Saudi Contractors Authority to expand areas of cooperation to serve and achieve common goals and directions in the field of mechanisms for dealing with contractors, exchanging data, and working to address organizational challenges in the contracting sector.
The memorandum, signed by the CEO of Diriyah Diriyah Gate Development Authority, Jerry Inzerillo, and the Chairman of the Saudi Contractors Authority, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Ajlan, based on the Kingdom's Vision 2030 to unify efforts, facilitate procedures, and activate the responsibility of agencies in implementing their tasks in a way that contributes to the implementation mechanism and ensures the continuity of work with high flexibility to help face the challenges.
The memorandum works to achieve the main objectives of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, which include preserving Diriyah as one of the most prominent historical sites in the Kingdom, the capital of the first Saudi state and the cradle of its launch, by highlighting the roots of this ancient city and its history related to a number of aspects, including urban, cultural, artistic and cognitive aspects; providing an opportunity to explore the jewel of the Kingdom, by coordinating efforts between government and private entities to achieve these objectives, enhancing the contribution of Diriyah to cultural and economic development and strengthening the governance of the work in the system.
Diriyah Company is a party to the MoU as part of its objectives to develop the Diriyah project through multiple assets, including cultural, educational, retail, employment, and residential assets to create an integrated community through mixed-use assets and develop a global cultural and tourism destination that contributes to the Kingdom's vision, attracts tourists, and contributes to the Kingdom's GDP.
The memorandum is also consistent with the objectives of the Saudi Contractors Authority, which works to organize and develop the contracting sector, empower the competencies working in it, encourage innovation, enhance the communication process between the relevant parties to create a safe and high-quality environment, and find appropriate solutions to facilitate procedures and solve the obstacles facing contractors.
