On the sidelines of the Saudi Agricultural Exhibition currently being held in Riyadh, the Chairman of the Agriculture and Food Security Committee, Mohammed Al-Hammadi, demanded the need to introduce technology and techniques to enhance agricultural production, this came during an open meeting that brought together the Minister of Agriculture and the Ministry's undersecretaries with the Kingdom's farmers.
The meeting was organized by Riyadh Chamber in cooperation with the National Agriculture Committee. <In the meeting organized by the Riyadh Chamber in cooperation with the National Agricultural Committee, Al-Hammadi touched on the role played by the Agriculture and Food Security Committee since its formation in early 2013, as it set its sights on serving farmers and the agricultural sector and worked through objectives, the first of which was to preserve the agricultural gains achieved during the past five-year plans as well as preserving the water stock by encouraging farmers to use modern mechanisms to rationalize irrigation in agricultural crops as well as motivating investors towards expanding agricultural activities that reduce water consumption, and the committee sought since its formation to find an organizational entity
