New agreement to boost infrastructure for electric vehicle charging stations

Signed Riyadh Development Company Strategic agreement with EVIQ, an electric vehicle infrastructure company specializing in the development and operation of electric vehicle charging stations, on the sidelines of the “Public Investment Fund and Private Sector Forum,” held at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh.
This agreement comes as part of the two parties" efforts to promote transportation infrastructure in the Kingdom, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and environmental sustainability goals.

This partnership aims to develop charging station sites on assets owned by Riyadh for Reconstruction, thereby contributing to Riyadh’s transformation into a smart and sustainable city and optimizing the use of the company’s assets, which will enhance sustainable returns on investment, The agreement also reflects the role of the Public Investment Fund’s Private Sector Forum in facilitating effective partnerships between the Fund’s subsidiaries and the private sector.

Jihad bin Abdulrahman Al-Qadi, CEO of Riyadh Development Company, explained that the company launched its strategy in early 2023 under the slogan ”We Invest for Growth,” with the aim of committing to the principle of sustainability in its broadest sense—including environmental sustainability—through the establishment of strategic, value-added partnerships.

He noted that this agreement reflects the company’s commitment to supporting the enhancement of infrastructure for sustainable solutions in the city of Riyadh as a whole, providing more comprehensive solutions while preserving environmental gains, contribute to the transition toward electric mobility, and strengthen Riyadh’s position as a sustainable urban center.
