The Ministry of Commerce issued its quarterly summary publication for the consumer sector for the first quarter of the year 2025, including a look at the regulatory tours in all regions of the Kingdom in general, and in the regions of Makkah and Madinah during the Umrah and visitation season in particular, and consumer protection initiatives.
The ministry carried out more than 132,000 inspection visits in all regions of the Kingdom in various sectors and economic activities during the first quarter of 2025, and efforts to combat commercial fraud included more than 126,000 visits, and carried out more than 6,500 control visits to combat concealment.
More than 6,500 control visits were carried out to combat concealment. The bulletin highlighted the highlights of the National Program to Combat Commercial Concealment, and its most important initiatives in motivating entrepreneurs, and the committee to review violations of the anti-cover-up system approved financial fines of more than two million riyals on the violating establishments.
