The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) today launched the Occupational Safety and Health Standards Guidance Manual, as a unified reference for specialists, operating establishments and relevant authorities in the Kingdom to be guided in applying safety and occupational health standards, as part of its strategy to enhance the level of safety in work environments and protect workers from occupational hazards.
This came during the launch of the Seventh International Conference on Occupational Safety and Health 2025, which was launched yesterday in Riyadh by H.E. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development.
"Social Insurance" explained that the guide was prepared according to the most prominent international practices in the field of <a href="https://amlak.net.The guide will benefit employers, workers in establishments and inspectors in knowing the preventive standards that contribute to reducing occupational injuries and hazards in work environments. The guide includes more than 4500 standards covering six main sectors (general industries, construction, agriculture, marine, transportation and mining), in addition to a more comprehensive classification of more than 70 sectors, based on the National Directory of Economic Activities.
The guide will contribute to enhancing productivity and economic sustainability, supporting the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in achieving a prosperous economy by creating safe and stimulating work environments, in addition to strengthening the Kingdom's position and leading role in supporting labor rights and investing in human capital, which is one of the main pillars of comprehensive and sustainable development.
It is worth mentioning that Social Insurance is participating as a founding partner in the International Conference on Occupational Safety and Health, where it is showcasing its awareness and control efforts in the occupational safety and health sector through a special pavilion that includes an interactive exhibition, as well as its new services and initiatives that contribute to raising the level of safety and protecting workers from occupational hazards and raising the level of compliance among employers.
