In its efforts to enhance real estate regulation and facilitate electronic services for citizens and investors, the General Authority for Real Estate clarified the mechanism for submitting a real estate sorting request through its digital platform “Aqari”, explaining the cases that require submitting the request, and the detailed steps for submission and follow-up, as part of its efforts to improve the ownership environment and enhance transparency in the real estate sector.

Application procedures for sorting:
Dividing an existing property into independent units (separate deeds for each unit):
A request for “real estate sorting” must be submitted through the platform, with the selection of an engineering office accredited by the authority to carry out the required surveying.

Modifying a previous sort (such as modifying boundaries or unit areas):
In this case, a “re-sorting” request is submitted via the sorting platform, and an accredited engineering office is chosen, with the amended plan and supporting documents attached.

Steps to submit an application via the “Aqari” platform:

  • Log in to the “ Real Estate Sorting ” platform.
  • Select the required service (sort or re-sort).
  • Identifying the property to be subdivided and selecting the engineering office.
  • Submit the application and provide the technical data, along with uploading the supporting documents.
  • The beneficiary can inquire about the status of the application and the engineering office's comments from the list of approved applications in the system.
  • The engineering office carried out the surveying and uploading the technical file to the system.
  • Review and approval of the application by the General Authority for Real Estate.
  • Pay the required fees when the invoice is issued.

Tracking the order status:
The platform allows for the electronic tracking of the application, and in case of any comments or delays, direct communication is made with the accredited engineering office to complete the technical deficiencies and submit the final application.
