<His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, Governor of Al Ahsa, on Wednesday evening, laid the foundation stone for the establishment of the first three luxury resorts under the Tuwaja brand to be developed by Dan - a Public Investment Fund company - in Al Ahsa, in the presence of a number of officials and representatives of government and private entities.
The laying of the foundation stone marks the start of the first phase of the project, which includes three quality tourist destinations in Al Ahsa Governorate, namely Tawaja Rural Resort, Tawaja Eco Resort and Tawaja Adventure Resort in Al Ahsa, which will be operated by Hilton Worldwide.8 million square meters, and includes approximately (200) accommodation units ranging from villas and hotel rooms, some of which include private pools, taking advantage of the rich natural and cultural ingredients that characterize Al-Ahsa, especially the largest oasis in the world, and aims to transform the province into a leading agro-tourism destination at the level of the region and the Kingdom.
His Highness the Governor of Al-Ahsa emphasized the importance of these ambitious projects in supporting the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030, noting that the Tawaja resorts contribute to the development of the future of rural tourism in Al-Ahsa, and reflect the commitment to sustainability and pride in the ancient cultural heritage and authentic hospitality.
His Highness explained that the project represents a practical example of the comprehensive development witnessed by the Kingdom, recognizing Al-Ahsa's natural, cultural and historical assets, consolidating its position as a global tourist destination. He emphasized the commitment to enhance cooperation between the public and private sectors to implement development projects according to the highest quality standards, in order to achieve the aspirations of citizens and visitors and in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The ceremony included the unveiling of the miniature designs of the resorts, where His Highness and the attendees toured the models of the rooms designed for the project, which reflect the unique concepts of the resorts, and the designs showed the beauty of the picturesque landscapes that Al-Ahsa is famous for.
The three Tawaja resorts feature a variety of facilities including restaurants, swimming pools, health and sports facilities, among others, to provide a comprehensive experience that caters to different tastes and needs.
