Processed The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources processed (786) requests for chemical clearance during the month of April 2025, as part of its efforts to facilitate industrial investment and provide services that support the growth and expansion of industrial facilities.
The Ministry’s official spokesperson, Jarah Al-Jarrah, explained that the processed applications included (801) applications for clearance to import unrestricted chemicals, (21) applications for permission to import restricted chemicals, two applications for clearance to re-export unrestricted chemicals, and two applications for permission to export restricted chemicals, noting that the approved applications cover 1,491 items.
He stated that the chemical clearance service enables industrial investors to request clearance, import, or export permits for chemicals used in industrial facilities, Applications are submitted via the “Sana’i” platform. He explained that the service aims to ensure that chemical clearance is granted to industrial facilities through streamlined and timely procedures, thereby serving investors and facilitating the entry of their materials through ports of entry.
The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources emphasized the importance of the chemical clearance service in boosting industrial output by developing and streamlining the mechanisms for obtaining clearance for chemicals used in production, and automating them within the digital services platform for the industrial sector; thereby enhancing the provision of digital services that support industrial investors.
