Al-Baha Emir inaugurates municipal and housing projects worth 238 million riyals

His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Emir of Al Baha inaugurated today a number of completed municipal and housing projects for the year 2024 with a total value of (238) million riyals, as part of the continuous efforts to promote urban development and improve the quality of life in the region.

HH The Amir laid the foundation stone for new municipal and housing projects for the year 2025 with an estimated value of (768) million riyals, reflecting the size of the developmental investments enjoyed by the region under the support and attention of the wise leadership.

In a speech on this occasion, His Highness the Emir of Al Baha expressed his thanks and appreciation to the wise leadership for the support and care provided for the comprehensive development process in all regions of the Kingdom and the constant keenness to provide citizens with the elements of decent living, praising at the same time the efforts of the Minister of Municipalities and Housing Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Haqeel and his direct supervision of these projects that will have a tangible impact in developing infrastructure and raising the efficiency of services in the region, in line with the goals of the Kingdom Vision 2030.

Throughout the ceremony, a number of new housing projects were held in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. During the ceremony, which was held at Al-Hussam Exhibition and Conference Center in Al-Baha city, a number of ready-made housing units were handed over to the beneficiaries of housing programs, in the presence of Assistant Minister of Municipalities and Housing for Planning and Development Majid bin Abdullah Al-Mubadil, Deputy Emir of Al-Baha region Dr. Abdulmonem bin Yassin Al-Shehri, along with a number of officials.

The ceremony was held at the Al-Hussam Exhibition and Conference Center in Al-Baha city. On the sidelines of the event, a number of partnership agreements were signed between Al Baha Municipality and several government and private entities, including the Environmental Access Organization Agreement, the Arts in the Municipal Sector Agreement, the Seasonal Urban Agriculture Agreement, the Marketing of Investment Opportunities, and Seasonal Municipal Volunteering, in addition to the "Al Baha is Worthy" agreement, which aims to highlight the region's identity and enhance its presence on the tourism and investment levels.

Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Sowat, Secretary of Al-Baha region, explained that the launch of these projects comes as a continuation of the efforts exerted by the Secretariat, with the support and guidance of His Highness the Emir of the region, to improve the quality of municipal and housing services, achieve the aspirations of citizens and enhance the quality of life, noting that the new projects will contribute - God willing - to support sustainable urban development, stimulate local investment and enhance Al-Baha's status as an important tourist and cultural destination at the Kingdom level.

He stressed that the new projects will contribute to supporting sustainable urban development. <He emphasized that the Municipality continues to implement initiatives and development projects in line with the plans of the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, and in partnership with the relevant authorities, to raise the level of satisfaction with the services provided to residents and visitors alike.
