His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Eastern Province, inaugurated at his office today new industrial projects in the first and second industrial cities in Dammam, in the presence of HE Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones “MODON” Mr. Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Kharif and CEO of ”MODON” Engineer Majid bin Rafid Arqobi.

His Highness praised the developments in the industrial sector, stressing that what has been achieved is the result of the support of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the follow-up and attention of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may God protect them, noting that these projects are in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in developing local content, raising the competitiveness of the national industry and enhancing the position of the Eastern Province as a vital industrial hub that contributes to comprehensive development and establishes the Kingdom's position and leadership in the industrial and economic fields.

The projects included the inauguration of the Eastern Province's industrial and technical zones project, which is located in the heart of the industrial sector. The projects included the inauguration of the multi-storey factories project in the first industrial city in Dammam, which aims to provide a stimulating industrial environment within an 8-story building that includes 78 industrial units, as the project contributes to empowering entrepreneurs and owners of small and medium enterprises by providing various industrial spaces ranging from 156 m² to 251 m², equipped with the latest technologies, in addition to integrated advisory and training services, within a flexible environment that encourages expansion and generation of added industrial value.

His Highness also inaugurated the multi-floor factories project in the first industrial city in Dammam, which aims to provide a stimulating industrial environment within an 8-story building that includes 78 industrial units. This project is a supportive model for light industries, and provides promising opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors in the fields of food, medical, pharmaceutical, electrical and electronic industries, as well as 3D printing technologies.

His Highness also inaugurated the prefabricated factories project in the second industrial city of Dammam, which includes (84) units with areas of 700 m² and 1500 m², with a total area of more than (92) thousand square meters. The CEO of the Saudi Industrial Cities and Technology Zones Authority (SICTA) delivered a speech in which he reviewed the achievements of the industrial sector in the Eastern Province and the qualitative shift in the development of industrial cities through strategic projects that focus on enhancing investment attraction, raising infrastructure efficiency and adopting advanced technical solutions that contribute to the integration of innovation and industrial production, thus enhancing operational efficiency levels within a sustainable industrial environment.

The Eastern Province is home to a number of industrial cities that offer promising opportunities for entrepreneurs and investors in the fields of food, medical, pharmaceutical, electrical and electronic industries, as well as 3D printing technologies.

The Eastern Province hosts (6) industrial cities under the supervision of the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones “MODON”, with areas exceeding (40) million square meters of developed land, and includes more than (1,850) industrial, logistics and investment facilities, with an occupancy rate exceeding 89%, which reflects the vitality of the industrial sector in the region, supports entrepreneurship, and contributes to raising export rates through the eastern gateway to the Kingdom.

As part of the framework to promote the integration of the industrial sector in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom. <Within the framework of enhancing integration between national entities and supporting sustainable industrial and logistics development, His Highness witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between MODON and the Eastern Province Municipality to enhance regulatory and investment cooperation and create an integrated and attractive industrial environment for investors. The memorandum included joint coordination to study the organization of industrial lands belonging to the Municipality or under its supervision, as well as private sector lands, to ensure their compatibility with the policies adopted by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, in addition to coordinating efforts to organize industrial cities and private parks under the supervision of “MODON”, and developing regulatory frameworks <At the end of the ceremony, His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources presented a commemorative gift to His Highness the Emir of the Eastern Province.
