The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, represented by Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Haqil, revealed the new geographical zone map for white land fees in the city of Riyadh, as part of regulating the real estate market and stimulating balanced urban development.
The announcement was made by Minister Majid Al-Hogail via the "X" platform, confirming that this step comes in implementation of the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and as an extension of the wise leadership’s interest in everything that achieves the interest of the citizen and resident.
Al-Haqil explained that defining these zones will give owners and developers greater opportunities for investment and development, which will contribute to increasing the supply of real estate and achieving the required balance in the sector.
Approved fee brackets
First tranche (top priority): Annual fee of 10% of the land value.
Second tier (high priority): Annual fee of 7.5% of the land value.
Third tier (medium priority): Annual fee of 5% of the land value.
Fourth tier (low priority): Annual fee of 2.5% of the land value.
The fifth category (outside the scope of priorities): It is not subject to annual fees, and is only counted within the total land owned by the owner within the city.
