<The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has developed a precise system to monitor any violation related to the division of housing intended for investment, as it receives reports through the Baladi application, in addition to field tours by regional secretariats to monitor any violations and deal with them in accordance with the regulations and laws. Violations of the division of investment housing in the Kingdom include one of the following behaviors:

• Dividing residential units into smaller spaces.
• Add interior doors.
• Modifying exits through setbacks without obtaining the necessary licenses.

Fine for violating the zoning of investment housing

In this context, the ministry directed citizens to report any violations through the “Baladi” application or call the unified number 940, stressing the need for owners, investors, advertisers and tenants to comply with the municipal requirements, lest they fall into a fine of up to 200,000 riyals according to the approved municipal regulations and instructions.
