Total cement sales continued to rise, increasing by 6.09% in November 2015 to reach 5.40 million tons, compared to sales of 5.01 million tons recorded during the same month of 2014. On an annual basis, local cement companies sold approximately 55.6 million tons in 11 months, compared to 51.4 million tons last year, representing an increase of 8.21%.
Reports indicated that Al-Madina Cement, Northern Cement, and Al-Jouf Cement recorded the highest sales growth rates, reaching 45%, 34%, and 32%, respectively.
As for clinker, data showed a slight decline in companies’ production during November 2015 to 4.71 million tons, compared to 4.72 million tons in November 2014. Meanwhile, clinker inventories at the end of November this year stood at 22.98 million tons, an increase of 7% compared to November of last year, when they stood at 21.40 million tons.
