Promoting real estate security and safety in the Kingdom
In the framework of enhancing real estate security and safety in the Kingdom, the General Authority for Real Estate has issued about 20 real estate legislations such as the real estate ownership system, the real estate registration system, the real estate brokerage system, the real estate contributions system, and the sale and lease of real estate projects on the map, which comes within the framework of enhancing real estate security and safety.
Ministry of Municipalities has also launched the Ministry of Municipalities. The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing also launched an updated version of the Health, Technical and Safety Conditions Guide for Housing, which includes controls that ensure technical safety of the property, as well as the application of a compliance certificate for buildings, as the ministries sought to make it mandatory for buildings, and obligate owners to address visual distortions and improve the urban appearance.
Ministry of Municipalities and Housing also launched an updated version of the Health, Technical and Safety Conditions Guide for Housing, which includes controls that ensure technical safety of the property. The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has approved health and technical conditions that must be met in collective housing, including ventilation, cleanliness and basic services, and legislation has contributed to raising the level of transparency and disclosure in the real estate market, and citizens' home ownership has increased beyond the target for 2023, reflecting the effectiveness of housing finance policies and government support.
About the challenges that may face the promotion of real estate security and safety in the Kingdom, the high costs of land and building materials, especially in major cities such as Riyadh and Jeddah, are an obstacle to real estate development, and real estate developers may face difficulties in accessing the necessary financing for large projects.
