The Eastern Province Development Authority announced the launch of Khobar Season 2025, supported by the Eastern Province Development Authority and the Saudi Tourism Authority, in partnership with the King Abdulaziz World Cultural Center (Ithra), and a number of supporters, partners and sponsors from the public and private sectors.

A media meeting was held yesterday at the Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Center (Cytec), in the presence of the Executive Vice President of the Investment Promotion Sector at the Eastern Province Development Authority, the Director of the King Abdulaziz World Cultural Center (Ithra), the spokesperson for the Saudi Tourism Authority, representatives of the parties involved in organizing the season, and others.
The meeting discussed the importance of integration between sectors in supporting the national tourism industry and enhancing the attractiveness of the Eastern Province as a cultural and entertainment destination, as the Khobar Season will contribute to highlighting the rich identity of the Eastern Province with its heritage and creativity, through events that combine culture, entertainment, innovation and sustainability, and work to raise the quality of life and stimulate the economic and tourism movement.
The Khobar Season will kick off with a series of events that combine culture, entertainment, innovation and sustainability.
The Khobar Season will run from October 23, 2025 to January 31, 2026, with more than 147 different events spread across 7 main areas including “Festivals Square - Waterfront, King Abdulaziz World Cultural Center (Ithra), Sultan bin Abdulaziz Center for Science and Technology (Cytec), Ajdan Walk, Sandy Beach, North Corniche”.
Spending during the Khobar season is expected to reach SAR 85 million, reflecting the significant positive economic impact it will have on the city and its facilities, as well as creating more than 7200 direct and indirect jobs.
