Emaar Economic City has transferred a plot of land within the boundaries of the Economic City to the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training, covering an area of 300,000 square meters, for the construction of the first phase of the Technical and Vocational Training Colleges Complex, complete with all its facilities and ancillary structures. This was done free of charge. The decision to transfer the land was made at the Extraordinary General Assembly Meeting No. (4), held yesterday, Tuesday, at the Al-Bilsan Hotel in King Abdullah Economic City. The Assembly also approved the conversion of a 1-billion-riyal loan, which had been approved by the General Assembly on March 31, 2012, and granted to the Ports Development Company for the purpose of developing the port, into shares in the Ports Development Company, thereby increasing Emaar Economic City’s stake to 50 %..
