Ma'aden begins production of industrial-quality aluminum sheet at rolling mill

<The Saudi Arabian Mining Company “Ma'aden” and Alcoa announced the start of production of industrial-quality aluminum sheets at the Ma'aden rolling mill, a component of the joint venture between Ma'aden and Alcoa for the production of aluminum.
This came during a ceremony prepared by Ma'aden on this occasion to introduce major commercial customers and manufacturers to the company's aluminum products. Ma'aden's rolling plant, located in Ras Al Khair Mining Industries City, is the first in the region to produce aluminum sheets used in food and beverage cans and aluminum sheets for the automotive industry and construction materials and tools, and the plant was able to produce the first industrial quality sheet ready to be shipped to customers for testing.
The CEO of Ma'aden, Engineer Khalid Al Madaffer, explained that the company's mission is to build a system of mining industries in the Kingdom that contributes to creating sustainable diversity in economic sources of income and achieving the interests of shareholders, and developing career opportunities for the people of the country, stressing that the company continues to provide its customers around the world with high-quality products.
It is worth mentioning that Ma'aden rolling plant includes aluminum recycling facilities capable of recycling various types of scrap and waste aluminum beverage cans in the Kingdom and the Arabian Gulf countries, and the capacity of the recycling facilities reaches 120 thousand metric tons of used beverage cans annually, which accelerates the development of the aluminum recycling industry in the Kingdom.
