A semi-annual report from the Project Management Department of the Royal Commission in Jubail on private-sector projects in Jubail Industrial City revealed that 48 residential projects, 60 commercial projects, and 38 industrial projects are currently underway, The report noted that of the 48 residential projects, 28 are in the design phase and 20 are under construction, distributed as follows: 26 in Jalmouda, 9 in Al-Matarfiyah, 6 in Ras Al-Khair, and 7 in Al-Batinah.

Meanwhile, the number of commercial projects currently under construction reached 60, including 23 under construction and 36 in the design phase, distributed across several neighborhoods in the city. The Al-Fanateer neighborhood accounted for 32 projects, followed by Al-Dafi with 11 projects, then Al-Huwailat with 4 projects, the city center with one project, and 12 projects in other locations. As for projects in the supporting industries sector, there are 38 industrial projects, of which 18 are in the design phase and 20 are under construction, distributed across the Supporting Industries Zone and one project in Ras Al-Khair.

The report also revealed that SABIC is constructing 1,514 residential units, which are scheduled for completion in November 2014. SABIC has also completed the infrastructure for 354 residential units, which are scheduled for completion in August 2015, and the infrastructure for 696 units is expected to be completed next January for the General Organization for Social Insurance, Ma'aden is constructing 800 housing units for its employees, expected to be completed in November 2016, and Al-Sahra is constructing 280 housing units, expected to be completed in May 2017, Meanwhile, the General Organization for Water Desalination is constructing 672 units for single people in Ras Al-Khair, expected to be completed in March 2016.
