Citizens have taken possession of all the villas in the Al-Yasmin neighborhood project in Jazan, which was built by the Ministry of Housing and distributed last Sha'ban, complete with full infrastructure, including electricity, water, sewage, and roads, while the handover of other projects established by the Ministry in Jazan and other regions continues.
The “Al-Yasmin” housing project is one of several projects the Ministry has built with complete infrastructure in the governorates of Sabya, Samtah, Abu Arish, Bish, and others.
The Ministry built the Al-Yasmin neighborhood on an area of 153,009 square meters, comprising 149 housing units, and includes integrated service facilities, a mosque, green spaces, and pedestrian walkways designed to foster social interaction among neighborhood residents.
The Ministry began distributing housing units to citizens at the end of last Sha’ban, after announcing the opening of the “Iskan” portal for citizens of the Jazan region, followed by the screening of applicants, verification of their submitted data, and allocation of housing units to them.
The project’s layout is based on a ring-shaped street pattern connected to the main streets surrounding three entrances, while services were distributed according to service zones so that the local mosque is located in the center.
Engineer Abdullah Al-Anzi, Director General of the Department of Project Supervision and Follow-up, explained that the Al-Yasmin neighborhood project was built by the Ministry, from the design phase through to implementation, until it became a reality with eligible citizens receiving the keys to the villas allocated to each of them as the first fruit of the Ministry’s housing product line, with the Ministry’s ongoing attention and oversight, just like the other projects currently being completed. He noted that the Ministry was keen to implement it in a manner suitable for Saudi families through high-quality designs for the residential units.
In a press statement, he said: ”Praise be to God, we have completed one of the Ministry’s initiatives, which involves the implementation of housing projects, including this one, which was built by the Ministry with the aim of distributing them to eligible citizens in accordance with housing support criteria, as we were keen to ensure that the completed units meet their satisfaction, and to achieve this goal, we have taken a number of steps ranging from preparing appropriate architectural designs to conducting periodic follow-ups on the project’s progress and completing the infrastructure in a manner that meets the needs of the neighborhood’s residents, while allocating sites for educational, health, and commercial facilities, as well as mosques and parks, to create a vibrant social environment with integrated services. This is what we strive to achieve in all of the Ministry’s projects.”
