His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Khalid bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Asir Region and Chairman of the Regional Council, stressed the importance of following up on white lands and curbing the phenomenon of encroachment on valley streams and reefs by activating the role of encroachment committees in the governorates.
This came as His Highness presided over the first annual meeting of governors for the year 1435 AH, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Emirate of Aseer, Sulaiman Al-Juraish, directors of government departments, governors and security leaders.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness welcomed the governors to the meeting. At the beginning of the meeting, HH Prince Faisal welcomed everyone, thanking the security men in all sectors for their participation and interaction with the Emirate, then authorized to start discussing the presented working paper, which included the visions and proposals of the governors on the security, environmental, social and economic aspects and the level of workflow of government agencies in the governorates.
HHH Prince Faisal emphasized the importance of the annual meeting of the governors. <Prince Faisal bin Khalid stressed the importance of activating the role of municipalities, maintaining environmental cleanliness and implementing the circulars issued to the region's Secretariat on addressing the environmental pollution caused by factories and keeping them away from the entrances and exits of cities and residential communities. The meeting discussed the frequent interruptions in the telecommunications network and its lack of full coverage in some centers, in addition to the importance of following up on the continuation of security campaigns for violators of the labor and residence system and unidentified persons, reducing the phenomenon of begging, activating the role of social development centers to provide youth services such as playgrounds and gyms, creating sports, recreational and educational centers, and ensuring that youth are educated to maintain public order and stay away from the dangers of drugs.
The meeting urged the meeting to develop the development of environmental cleanliness and the implementation of the circulars issued by the Municipality of the region regarding the treatment of environmental pollution. <The meeting urged to develop the administrative and technical side and raise the level of workflow in government agencies, by supporting the technical side to facilitate work procedures and training employees on new IT devices and programs. <The meeting pointed out the importance of implementing the investment strategy in Asir region, by finding a mechanism to provide investment lands from government lands, whether owned by the municipality or agriculture, utilizing lands on the main roads to establish tourism projects, activating the role of chambers of commerce by supporting small and medium enterprises, and inviting and motivating businessmen in this regard. The meeting reviewed the phenomenon of the spread of commercial concealment, price disparity and high prices in commodities and shops, and emphasized the activation of the supervisory role in coordination with the relevant authorities. H.H. the Emir of Asir urged to redouble efforts to achieve the aspirations of the wise leadership, which is keen to achieve security and prosperity for citizens and residents alike in this blessed country.
