<The Engineers Committee at the Abha Chamber stressed the need to follow up unlicensed engineering offices and extract commercial records for engineering and consulting offices and address the branch of the Board of Engineers in Asir region, and the Municipality of the region by the Commission as the authority in the affairs of engineering offices in this regard, to obtain a list of accredited engineers to add them to the committee and the participation of a member of the Board of Engineers, the Municipality and the Ministry of Commerce for the field team to follow up licenses, records for engineering offices, investment offices and the Commission addressed to the branch of the Ministry of Commerce to extract commercial records for engineering and consulting offices. The head of the Chamber's Engineers Committee, Engineer Theeb Mohammed Shaflout, said: The committee is working to play its role to follow up the unlicensed offices and violators by giving them a deadline starting from the new Hijri year to correct their situation within 3 months, pointing out that the committee seeks to get rid of the phenomenon of bag engineers who have licenses to practice the profession and make stamps on designs for small amounts, indicating that there are many fictitious offices in the Asir region run by engineers who hold jobs in different sectors and are not licensed, as the committee seeks to adopt all ideas of engineers and solve their issues. He explained that the committee was separated from the Contractors Committee to be able to play its role to follow up the status of accredited engineers, engineering offices and the issues of unlicensed offices, and to protect businessmen from offices that do not work in an official capacity. He pointed out that one of the most important aspirations of the committee is to work in cooperation with the Secretariat and the Board of Engineers to eliminate these phenomena, so that the outputs of engineering offices, designs and studies rise to better levels, and good designs reflect the image of the Asir region known for heritage, architecture and construction, away from the issues of similarity in designs and repetition in the shape of buildings, and added that we are looking to distinguish the aesthetics of the building
