”Daikin Saudi Arabia” Launches Its New Facility in Riyadh

Daikin Saudi Arabia, a leading manufacturer and provider of cooling and heating solutions, held on Monday, January 13, 1, 2014, a launch ceremony for new products with its new distributors, Al-Mutlaq Company and Al-Rajhi Company, at the Al-Faisaliah Hotel in Riyadh.
The ceremony was attended by a notable number of business leaders and investors, as well as a select group of representatives from related companies and institutions and several representatives from air conditioning companies, including Majid Al-Ghaith Air Conditioning Company.
Daikin Saudi Arabia launched 6,000 metric tons of residential units, noting that the Saudi market is valued at 4 billion Saudi riyals, including
30% residential, 30% commercial, and 40% industrial units. Daikin aims to increase its sales for 2014 to 10% of its market share.
Daikin Group, a global leader in the manufacturing and production of cooling and heating solutions, had previously announced on its website its intention to open its first operations center in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which began operations in December 2013 under the name DaikinSaudi Air Conditioning Co. (LLC), in partnership with the “RIRAC Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Industry Company” consortium, which consists of Al-Rajhi Holding Company and Al-Mutlaq Group.
Through this alliance, the Japanese company Daikin aims to provide direct support for all commercial operations, increase its market share in Saudi Arabia, and market its latest technological products, by providing its latest innovations in advanced air conditioning solutions for residential, commercial, and even industrial applications. All of this is being done in conjunction with building a robust sales network capable of offering a wide range of products specifically designed for the Kingdom’s climatic conditions, compliant with the standards of the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization, and overseen by Daikin’s strategy for intensive after-sales .
