The next edition of the most important annual real estate event, the “Riyadh Real Estate, Housing, and Urban Development Exhibition and Forum” (Restatex 17), will take place at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center from April 27 – 30 April 2014. As is customary each year, the event will feature several new offerings for real estate and housing projects, as well as financing programs for the purchase of residential units and developer financing, with national, regional, and international participation. The Kingdom’s Housing Forum will also be held on the sidelines of the exhibition.

The exhibition features extensive national participation, led by the Ministry of Housing with its distinctive pavilion, which will be a major draw for visitors—especially following the launch of its online portal that allows applicants to submit information to secure housing in projects that have been completed or are nearing completion, as well as the “Land and Loan” program, which the Ministry has adopted as a mechanism to help housing applicants secure housing.
In addition, financing companies, real estate institutions, and banks are participating with their own booths, a tradition the exhibition has established as it has become the most important annual real estate forum on the agenda of Saudi decision-makers and real estate and housing investors. With each edition, the exhibition reaffirms its role as a practical and tangible barometer of the status, scale, and activity of investments in the Saudi real estate sector, as well as theclear progress in the development of its performance and projects.
In addition, it reflects the expansion and evolution of the banking and financial sector’s involvement in real estate financing investments and programs. . The list of confirmed participants for the upcoming edition of the exhibition provides evidence of this through the strong presence of banks and housing finance companies in its pavilions, alongside prominent real estate developers with leading investments in real estate development projects. . and the growing infrastructure for real estate investment in the Kingdom, whether in residential units or land development and related services.

The Restatex exhibition sold out all its booths and sponsorship opportunities well in advance of its opening date. . This underscores the strength and expansion of investments in the national real estate sector, as well as the exhibition’s standing and importance on the agenda of the sector’s leaders and the Kingdom’s real estate and financial investment and development decision-makers. This is also what distinguishes the exhibition’s high public turnout; the number of visitors at the previous edition exceeded fifty thousand.
Housing Forum
The Kingdom’s Housing Forum will be held on the sidelines of the exhibition. Arrangements are currently underway between the exhibition organizers and officials from the Ministry of Housing to finalize the details. The forum is scheduled to take place at the King Fahd Cultural Center on April 22, 2014 (a full day), under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Housing and in the presence of ministry leaders and prominent figures from the Saudi real estate and banking sectors representing companies and banks participating in the exhibition, where the annual sponsorship awards ceremony will take place. . Also in attendance will be leaders in the real estate, investment, urban development, and housing sectors, who are eager to engage with the sessions and discussions at this important forum.
The Exhibition in Numbers
The exhibition will occupy the entire 15,000 square meters of available exhibition space at the Riyadh International Exhibition and Convention Center.
– The number of visitors to the exhibition is expected to exceed 60,000 this year.
– The Ministry of Housing is participating in the exhibition with a large pavilion that is expected to be crowded with citizens seeking information on how to obtain housing and the application process and regulations through the Ministry’s online portal.
– Every year, the exhibition sees fierce competition among Saudi banks to offer new benefits and discounts on their mortgage loan facilities for home purchases.
– The exhibition’s opening ceremony, held under the patronage of the Minister of Housing, attracts a large and distinguished audience of real estate sector leaders, companies, and real estate committees from the chambers of commerce and industry.
It is worth noting that the exhibition began in 1988 in a small space at a hotel in Riyadh and has since grown to become the largest annual real estate event in the Kingdom.
