His Royal Highness Prince Mishaal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Governor of the Makkah Region, honored Riyad Bank—represented by Nayef Shalabi, Riyad Bank’s Regional Manager for the Western Region—for sponsoring the 2014 «Jeddah Economic Forum,» which was held from the 18th to the 20th of this month under the theme «Development Through Youth.»
For his part, Shalabi explained that the bank’s sponsorship of the forum embodies its commitment to contributing to any effort that helps develop the national economy, through supporting specialized conferences and forums that help provide solutions for the growth of the Saudi economy, including its sponsorship of previous editions of the Jeddah Economic Forum and other economic conferences and forums in the Kingdom. Shalabi added that youth development is one of the most important pillars of Riyad Bank’s strategies, centered on three main areas. The first is creating job opportunities for young people, as evidenced by the bank’s high rate of job localization, which exceeded 93% of its. The second pillar focused on encouraging young owners of small and medium-sized enterprises to contribute to achieving comprehensive and sustainable development, as reflected in the bank’s leading position among Saudi banks in supporting the Kafalah program since its launch, The third pillar involved offering specialized social programs for youth, whether in the areas of training, awareness, or other sustainable specialized initiatives. It is worth noting that Riyad Bank, as part of its support for the business sector in the Kingdom, has consistently sponsored economic and investment conferences and forums, including the Riyadh Economic Forum, the Jeddah Economic Forum, and the Al-Ahsa Investment Forum.
