Launching four training programs for the construction sector

During the first quarter of 2014, the Riyadh Chamber plans to launch four specialized development programs for workers in the contracting sector aimed at developing their administrative skills and abilities in the financial management of projects, in addition to educating them on the legal aspects of drafting contracts and dispute resolution methods.
Fahad Al-Hammadi, a member of the Board of Directors of Riyadh Chamber and Chairman of the Contractors Committee, said that the organization of these programs comes within the framework of coordination between the committee and the training center to provide quality services to contractors in order to contribute to the development of their capabilities and advance their projects, pointing out that the design of these training programs and the selection of qualified trainers to implement them came in line with the development in the sector and seeking to achieve the desired goals. He added that the programs will cover a number of important topics for the sector, including the areas of construction and financial project management, rules and procedures for obtaining compensation in contracting contracts, disputes and arbitration in construction projects. Al Hammadi called on workers and investors in the sector to benefit from these programs, which aim to enlighten participants on the main processes of managing construction projects, identifying the skills that must be available in the project manager and knowing the methods of financial planning and training, in addition to providing them with legal skills that help them preserve their rights and obtain compensation when contractors breach contracting contracts and procedures for obtaining it, and introduce them to ways to resolve disputes with little effort.

The programs will cover a number of important topics for the sector, including the areas of construction and financial project management, rules and procedures for obtaining compensation in contracting contracts, disputes and arbitration in construction projects.
